Another week begins, after a hectic week has ended. Not only was last week a big news week, with the U.S. Presidential Election, but there was also other news that included Yasser Arafat getting very ill. The U.S. are mounting a major offensive in Faluja Iraq, which some say could potentially be a very bloody battle.
To top all of that off, for me the week was super busy at work, and I had to do some work over the weekend, for the first time in over one and a half years. I know it sucks to be working like this, but it makes me look forward to the Christmas break.
I went to see the movie 'Saw' with LR last week. It tended to remind both of us of the movie 'Seven'. It was entertaining. I saw 'Back to the Future' over the weekend on T.V., which got me thinking of LR's good friend Titor, the tyme travelling Internet dude. There seems to be a lot of Irregularities with tyme travel, that would have to be sorted out.
I also saw the movie 'Fargo' on t.v.; actually , I watched the second half of the movie. I always liked that movie, and it hasn't lost any of it's appeal to me.
I've been told that I should definitely check out the movie 'What the bleep do we know', ASAP. Apparently it's a life changing movie, dealing with Quantum Physics. Physics has always been something I've enjoyed, although I never did well in my High School Physics class. I did some research a few years ago on Quantum Physics, but found it very confusing. I also want to see 'The Motorcycle Diaries', which LR and myself are supposed to see soon.
So much over the past week that deals with movies. What does that mean? Does it signify something new in my life?
My Oma moved into a Nursing Home on Friday. She's actually pretty happy to be there, since she's 93 years old, and was still living on her own. She was getting scared being alone, because she fell a couple of times. She was lucky that she didn't hurt herself, but she always wanted somebody to stay with her. She is now happy to have the 24 hour help at the nursing home, and it's a pretty nice place.
So what am I trying to say here? I guess that GWB won the election because of the Christian Evangelical Right. I've had discussions over this, and I believe the election results had a lot to do with Religion. The Southern Baptists are very much into having a 'Born Again Christian' in office, that understands their issues. It's all kind of scary if you ask me...
Anyway, on to another week of work...
